Grieving can feel incredibly overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. There are many resources out there to help you navigate your emotions, talk to someone, or find support when you need it. Below is a list of hotlines, websites, and tools specifically for teens going through grief.

Crisis Support Hotlines

If you ever feel overwhelmed and need immediate help, these hotlines offer confidential support 24/7.

  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline:
    Call 988 or visit 988lifeline.org
    Available 24/7 for any emotional crisis, including grief.

  • Crisis Text Line:
    Text HELLO to 741741
    Get free, confidential support from a trained counselor via text.

  • Teen Line:
    Call 1-800-852-8336 or text TEEN to 839863
    Specifically for teens in crisis, available from 6 PM to 10 PM PT every night.

  • The Trevor Project (LGBTQ+ Support):
    Call 1-866-488-7386 or text START to 678678

    • ​Free and confidential support for LGBTQ+ teens dealing with grief, depression, or other emotional struggles.
